In the Fall, the HR Team starts planning all the fun events that will make the firm’s busiest time of year as manageable as possible for professionals at BMSS. In January, we put on our party hats and get busy! BMSS provides lunch Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week from January until the April deadline. A variety of restaurants were brought in this past season with a new favorite, “Taco Tuesday,” being crowned in the Riverchase office. The Huntsville office spread the love and ordered from 23 different restaurants this season!
BMSS welcomed the March 15th deadline and, subsequently, the time change, with coffee trucks. Each location had a local coffee shop “pop-up” in the parking lot that served our professionals sweet treats and lots of caffeine throughout the morning. That same week, we set our sights on warmer weather and handed out the Spring gift. This year, the “Tax Fairy” brought everyone a large canvas “boat tote” with the BMSS logo embroidered on the outside. We look forward to seeing how people use the totes this summer on vacation!
One of the most beloved traditions during Success Season is “Ice-cream Madness” during the month of April. We partner with Bruster’s Ice Cream and keep a steady supply of single-serving cups coming into the offices in a variety of popular flavors. Bruster’s does a great job of keeping the freezer stocked from April 1st through the end of the month. This year we served 1,862 cups of ice cream throughout April!
Now that the deadlines have passed, everyone is finding time to take their “Deadline Floating Holiday” to rest and recharge. May also starts “Flex 40” across the firm where our professionals can flex their time and enjoy a 4-day work week every week. We have a few folks taking their 10-year anniversary sabbatical as well this summer. Follow us on social media to see pics and keep up with all the fun things we are doing over the summer!
