Hear From Students Like You

See what our past interns have to say about their BMSS Internship Experience!

  • I interned at the firm during my last semester of undergrad in the spring of 2020, which was also in the middle of the COVID pandemic. However, I got to experience firsthand what our firm’s culture looks like in the midst of adversity. Seeing how BMSS responded during such a challenging and uncertain time was incredibly impactful. The way our firm “walked the walk” during this time further confirmed to me how BMSS truly values its employees as much as we value being part of this firm.

    2020

  • The internship was the perfect insight into not only my first real experience of what it’s like to be in the workforce, but in BMSS and its culture. I was immediately treated like a young professional with the ability to set my own schedule, apply my school knowledge to the real world, and connect with my coworkers. I was blown away by how friendly and willing to teach everyone was and felt like I fit into the BMSS family – and I still do, even a couple of years later!

    Senior

    2021

  • I could not have asked for a better internship experience. I appreciated how BMSS gave me a valuable learning experience. Most of my friends interning at different firms were making coffee runs while I was working on things a full time staff would be working on! Everyone at BMSS was so helpful and encouraging throughout the internship. I felt like I learned more during my internship than all my years of school combined!

    Supervisor

    2019

  • Everyone was so personable, helpful, and genuine. I learned so much during my internship by getting to do both tax and audit. I was so excited to come back and be around these people again when I started full time!

    2023

  • Interning with BMSS was the best thing I did to prepare myself for the role I have now. I was exposed to all kinds of different returns and audits. Everyone was super helpful and wanted me to succeed on every project I worked on. Although the Success Season is long hours, the office was in high spirits and BMSS had treats along the way to keep everyone pushing and to know that they were rooting us on.

    Staff

    2023

  • I started the internship right after graduation, and the people and culture of BMSS affirmed that this was the career field for me. During my internship, I had the opportunity, just like all of our interns, to work in both the audit and tax departments. Getting the real world knowledge and experience that the internship provides is truly invaluable.
