BMSS Advisors & CPAs is pleased to announce that Dalton Hopper, CFE, CVA, ABV, Senior Manager in the firm’s Gadsden office, has been named Chair of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts’ (NACVA) Standards Board for 2026–2027.

The NACVA Standards Board is the standard-setting body charged with creating and promulgating NACVA’s and GACVA’s Professional Standards. Its mission is to support the broad use and harmonization of those standards to promote consistency, credibility, transparency, professional ethics and quality in valuation and other professional services.

Dalton’s appointment reflects his deep experience in business valuation, forensic accounting and litigation support, as well as his continued leadership within the valuation profession. At BMSS, he leads the firm’s Business Valuation and Forensic Accounting practice from the Gadsden office, helping clients navigate complex matters including financial investigations, shareholder disputes, estate and gift tax valuations, asset tracing, economic damages and other litigation-related engagements.

Dalton joined BMSS in 2021 and brings a strong background in forensic accounting, financial investigations and both federal and commercial disaster recovery efforts. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Valuation Analyst and Accredited in Business Valuation professional. He is also a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and NACVA.
