BMSS Advisors & CPAs Welcomes Mobile, Alabama Office in Continued Growth Plan

As part of a planned growth strategy that will provide additional services and depth for firm clients, BMSS Advisors & CPAs is proud to expand into the Mobile and Eastern Shore markets with a new office location in downtown Mobile, effective January 1, 2025. This South Alabama expansion will grow the firm to 37 Members, 350-plus employees, seven office locations and more than 10,000 clients.

Mobile native and Spanish Fort resident, Phillip Rivers, CPA, will serve as the managing director for the new Mobile office. Rivers has been an active professional in the Mobile and Baldwin County communities for many years and has more than 23 years of accounting experience working at regional and Big 4 firms. Phillip stated, “I am impressed by BMSS’ people-first culture, commitment to excellence, and innovative mindset, and I’m eager to bring these assets to the southern part of the state.

BMSS Advisors & CPAs was established in 1991 by Keith Barfield, Don Murphy, and John Shank with the vision of creating a CPA firm that would provide peace of mind for its clients while sustaining a healthy, happy culture for its employees.
