To Our Clients and Friends,
First of all, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude that you have entrusted BMSS Advisors & CPAs to be your trusted business advisor. During these difficult times, and as you are dealing with the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to reach out to let you know that we are here and will continue to assist you in your accounting and advisory matters in order to help you achieve peace of mind.
Our offices will remain open for the foreseeable future. However, should it become necessary for us to temporarily close our doors, BMSS employees are fully equipped and able to work remotely to provide you with uninterrupted service during tax season. Additionally, as we try to limit person-to-person contact, we are fully comfortable and capable of handling client work, such as audit or review work, that would be typically performed in your office, in a virtual capacity.
As always, our professionals are committed to providing you with quality service that is both timely and efficient. Please note that we do have a secure client portal which will allow you to upload and download documents if you choose. If you are unsure how to log in to your portal, please contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.
Business Issues – We are already seeing a host of accounting, tax and other issues from this event. A few examples of issues we are dealing with are:
-
- Refinancing debt to take advantage of low rates
- Financial modeling and cash flow projection assistance to evaluate lost revenue and ability to meet business cash needs
- Evaluating business interruption insurance claims
- Providing valuations of securities portfolios given stock market and financial market volatility
- Preparing for the possible extension of tax deadlines
If you need assistance with these issues or have other needs, please reach out to your BMSS contact. We are here for you in this time of uncertainty.
In addition, we would like to share timely content from yesterday’s seminar, BMSS Presents: A Proactive Approach to Coronavirus. Below you’ll find three videos of Dr. Steve Stigler, John Norris and Bew White as they speak to the medical, economic and business impacts of this pandemic:

As the situation evolves, please refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization for steps to help mitigate the spread of this disease. We will continue to monitor the situation and wish everyone continued good health during this disruption to our business and personal lives.
