BMSS Continues Legacy of Giving Back to Local Communities

Employees from BMSS’ Birmingham locations have been “working” outside the office over the past few months. They have been serving hands-on throughout the city with several nonprofit organizations.

Throughout October, employees volunteered with Christian Service Mission, Bundles of Hope, Grace’s Kitchen, Firehouse Shelter and March of Dimes assisting with a variety of tasks ranging from construction work to cooking to folding T-shirts.

Birmingham Community Service Day Organizer Rhonda Pierce said, “One of the things I love about BMSS is the concern it shows for our community by giving us the opportunity to serve through various organizations who are striving to make our community strong and healthy.”

Since BMSS’ creation in 1991, community outreach has always been a key component of the firm’s identity. Each of the geographic offices primarily volunteers with nonprofits within a 50-mile radius.

Employees from BMSS’ Gadsden and Huntsville locations, as well as from wealth management sister company, BMSS Wesson, will also be participating in their local communities before the end of the year.
