Wendy LaceyCPA

Wendy Lacey, CPA, is a Member in BMSS’s Birmingham-Riverchase office, where she leads State and Local Tax (SALT) services for large, multistate businesses. She joined BMSS in 2023 and brings more than 30 years of public accounting experience to her work, including 11 years as a partner at another Alabama-based firm.

Wendy works with large, multistate businesses on state tax compliance, planning, nexus analysis, and research. Her clients span a range of industries including manufacturing and distribution, private equity and venture capital, professional services, and technology and software. She’s known for making complex multistate tax requirements accessible and actionable, helping clients not just understand their obligations but build practical strategies to manage them.

Wendy lives in Birmingham and enjoys spending time with her husband, David and their children and grandchildren. She loves that Birmingham has a small-town feel with big-city opportunities.
