Scott StevensCPA, CGMA

Scott Stevens, CPA, joined BMSS in 2000 and serves as a Member in our Birmingham location. He provides assurance, consulting, and internal audit services to clients in the credit union, technology, manufacturing, and other industries. As one of the firm’s thought leaders, he has been heavily involved in presenting and facilitating the annual BMSS Credit Union Roundtable. Oftentimes, you’ll find Scott at chapter meetings for local credit unions as well as at the annual League of Southeastern Credit Unions conferences.

With more than 25 years of experience, Scott is known for taking complex accounting issues and explaining them in terms clients can actually use. He was drawn to accounting because, by nature, it touches every industry, giving him the freedom to work in the fields he finds most interesting.

Born in Birmingham, Scott now lives in Vestavia Hills with his wife, Shelley, and their son. In his free time, he enjoys golf (boasting a single-digit handicap), traveling, and music.
