Michael BrandCPA, CGMA

Known as a nationally acclaimed accounting industry expert and speaker, Michael (Mike) Brand, CPA, CGMA, is a Member in BMSS’s Huntsville office with extensive experience in public accounting. He provides accounting, auditing and review services to clients in the for-profit, nonprofits and governmental sectors, while also serving the broader profession as a leader, educator and peer reviewer.

Mike’s influence extends well beyond client work. He is a current member of the AICPA’s Auditing Standards Board and a former member of the AICPA’s PCPS Technical Issues Committee, Professional Ethics Executive Committee, Peer Review Board, Joint Trial Board, and Quality Control Standards Task Force. He has also served as past chair of both the AICPA’s Accounting and Review Services Committee and the Alabama Society of CPAs (ASCPA), as well as chair of the ASCPA’s Peer Review Committee.

An active teacher and speaker, Mike regularly presents at conferences across the country and internationally, and he conducts peer reviews nationwide. He currently serves as co-chair of the AICPA’s Engage Conference, one of the profession’s largest multi-day gatherings, drawing thousands of attendees each year.
