Mark Murphy

Mark Murphy is a Special Projects Coordinator with BMSS Advisors & CPAs in Birmingham, Alabama, where he helps coordinate and lead the firm’s artificial intelligence initiatives, supports the analysis and integration of merger targets, and oversees facilities-related projects. Since joining BMSS in 2024, Mark has brought a strong operational leadership background to projects involving AI, mergers and acquisitions, office expansion and firmwide strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining BMSS, Mark spent nearly three decades with BellSouth/AT&T in leadership roles across network operations, sales, finance, executive support and corporate strategy, with responsibilities reaching the AVP level. He later served as Vice President of the South Region for MasTec Communications Group and as President of QualTek Wireline, where he led large-scale teams focused on fiber optic network design, construction, operations and performance improvement.

Known as an operator and builder, Mark’s service philosophy is simple: clear the path and make the call. His experience leading complex operations, building teams and improving organizational performance helps him support BMSS leadership as the firm continues investing in innovation, growth and operational excellence.

A native of Auburn, Alabama, Mark currently resides in Hoover with his wife, Stacy. They have two adult children, Amanda and Scott, and are looking forward to welcoming their first grandchild later this year. Outside of work, Mark enjoys water skiing, snow skiing and playing pickleball.
