- Senior Accountant
- Riverchase Birmingham
Emily joined BMSS in 2016 as a staff accountant after serving as an intern during the 2015 tax season. As a senior accountant, she works with a variety of industries. She specializes in the preparation of audits, employee benefit plan audits, reviews, and compilations.
Described as caring, enthusiastic and bubbly, Emily attributes her success to her parents’ love and support as well as the wonderful experience at Auburn. Her favorite quote is from Oscar Wilde, “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.” It reminds her of how precious life really is and how we should make the most of every day. A perfect example of this philosophy was when Emily went on an African safari where her jeep was actually chased by an elephant!
Born in Albany, Georgia, Emily now lives in Birmingham, AL, with her husband Buddy Riles. They love to go hiking, bake any kind of dessert, watch Auburn football, travel, and spend time with family and friends. She loves Birmingham because it’s such a big city with so much to offer, yet it still feels like a small town.
