Barbara JessenCPA, CVA

Barbara Jessen, CPA, CVA, is a Senior Manager in BMSS’s Ridgeland office, where she provides tax and business valuation services for individuals, businesses, estates, trusts and clients in industries such as real estate and agriculture. With experience in public accounting since 2008, Barbara brings a strong technical background to client work involving tax planning, compliance and valuation matters.

Barbara joined BMSS in 2025 after relocating to Mississippi. She is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Nebraska and Mississippi and holds the Certified Valuation Analyst designation. Her professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Originally from Arlington, Nebraska, Barbara graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and now resides in Flora, Mississippi. She is married and has one son. Outside of work, Barbara enjoys traveling and watching baseball.
