City Business License Renewals

As the year draws to a close, it’s important to think about renewing your city business license. Depending on the nature of your business and its location, you may be required to obtain a business license from the city. It’s recommended that you verify the license requirements for your business by checking with the relevant cities where you operate. Below are links to some of the more common cities in which our clients operate.

City of Birmingham, AL

Any person or entity desiring to conduct trade or provide services within the city limits of Birmingham is required to register with the City of Birmingham. The license covers the period of January 1 through December 31. The license must be renewed annually by February 15^th to avoid penalties.

The City of Gadsden Revenue Department issues business licenses, which are required for any person or organization conducting business in Gadsden, Alabama. The license covers the period of January 1 through December 31. The license must be renewed annually by January 31^st to avoid penalties.
