J. Aaron CooperCPA

Aaron is a Member in the firm’s Ridgeland office. With over 30 years of experience in accounting and auditing, Aaron primarily works in the governmental and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining the firm, Aaron worked at several firms, including KPMG and Grant Thornton before establishing his own firm in 2008. His firm worked mainly with audit clients in the governmental and nonprofit sectors. Aaron is a member of our peer review team, performing peer reviews on government, Single Audit, and employee benefit plan engagements. He has received the Advanced Single Audit Certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Aaron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served as board member for the Louisiana Society of CPAs and past president of the Lake Charles Chapter and is a past member of the Louisiana Accounting and Auditing Conference Committee.

Aaron and his wife Jill live in Madison, MS, and have a son who is a practicing emergency medicine physician, and a daughter attending LSU Law School in Baton Rouge.
