If your company or organization holds unclaimed property with situs in Alabama, you must file an annual report with the State of Alabama Treasurer’s Office. This report covers property that is deemed to be unclaimed as of June 30, 2020.
Alabama does not require negative reporting; that is, if you hold no unclaimed property as of June 30, 2020, a report is not required. You may also have unclaimed property filing requirements with other states. Filing requirements and due dates vary by state.
