New Employees

We would like to welcome Caleb Yarbrough and Reed McMahon who joined the BMSS family in May. Caleb will be working in our Huntsville office, and Reed will begin his internship with Eversource and our sister company, BMSS Wesson Wealth Solutions.

ZebraFest 2019

We hosted our sixth annual summer leadership program, ZebraFest, in May. This year, we chose
12 students from Auburn University, University of Alabama, Troy University, Jacksonville State University, University of Montevallo, Birmingham-Southern College and University of Alabama-Birmingham. During this two-day program, students were given the chance to learn about BMSS’ culture while spending valuable time with our staff. BMSS professionals also had the chance to get to know the students and see how they interact with others.

Students began the event by having breakfast with our members at The Club. This allowed them to meet BMSS leadership and learn what the vision of our firm is for the future as well as how we got to where we are today. After breakfast, they met with one of our clients, Ghost Train, and listened as Patrick Small talked about what it is like to be a BMSS client from the client’s perspective and his interaction with our firm. As a bonus, the students got to take a tour of the brewery.

In addition to meeting the members and a BMSS client, the students also had the opportunity to hear from professionals of different levels in our firm talk about their path at BMSS and why they enjoy working here. This allowed them to see BMSS from all different perspectives, internal to external, and top down. To wrap up the event, everyone split into two groups and had the choice of a manicure/pedicure at Nail Tip Salon or go-kart racing at the Autobahn Indoor Speedway. All in all, we feel it was a great success!
