In May, we invited 25 accounting students from different schools across the state to join us for our 4th annual summer recruitment program, ZebraFest. We had students from Auburn University, Birmingham Southern College, Samford University, Troy University, University of Alabama and University of Montevallo. This was, by far, our biggest ZebraFest to date, and we are grateful for the interest shown to us by some of the best and brightest accounting students in Alabama.
ZebraFest is a two-day event that is jammed packed with socials, employee testimonies, games, swag, prizes, social media contests and of course, FOOD!! We take the students to several spots in our great city, including a tour of our downtown office and a client field trip. Randy Adamy, owner of O’Henry’s Coffee, was gracious enough to spend some time with us. He gave us a tour of his Homewood facility and spoke to us about the history of coffee and his company. He also provided our guests with several different coffee blends for taste testing. We gave the students a ZebraFest blend of O’Henry’s coffee as a parting gift.
We are honored to host these talented students and show them about our firm, our people and what makes us so unique – the culture.
#ZEBRAFEST2017 was a great success, and we are already planning for next year’s event!
