Spencer joined BMSS in 2017 as a manager after previously working at another firm for almost seven years as an audit supervisor. He primarily assists clients with audit and assurance services of nonprofits and municipalities, specializing in audits of entities receiving federal assistance requiring single audits, specifically Housing and Urban Development assisted entities, such as Housing Authorities.
Spencer is known for being a team player and being loyal which, incidentally, helped earn him the NJCAA Academic All-American award in tennis two different years. He is a quick learner who went into accounting because he saw it as a way to use his professional knowledge combined with his interpersonal skills to provide peace of mind to clients who are faced with complicated situations.
Spencer lives in Birmingham with his wife, Lauren-Sydney, daughter and dog. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf.
