Rick joined BMSS in 2019 and works in bookkeeping and accounting services. Before joining the firm, Rick opened an upscale firearms and sporting goods store in Opelika named the Firing Pin. After about 4 years, Rick decided to pursue a more challenging career path, so he sold the store and dove into the industrial 3D-printing market, where he marketed and sold industrial additive manufacturing equipment. In 2017, Rick decided to return to school for accounting. He successfully completed the Auburn Accounting Bridge program in December of 2018, meriting him entrance into Auburn’s Master of Accountancy program.
Rick is known for growing industries and developing strategies and is described as methodical. His personal service mission is to add value to whatever he does while empowering people and businesses to thrive. As an example, Rick once helped transform a company’s tooling process by utilizing additive manufacturing. The machine paid for itself in a matter of weeks. Rick enjoys providing technical, consultative advice and assisting those who are seeking solutions to problems. Rick says, “Accounting services will always be in demand, and helping people navigate the complexities in business is a passion of mine.”
Rick grew up in Montgomery, and has been in Auburn since 2006. He is engaged to Brittany and enjoys spending time with her and her five-year-old son, Jude. In his free time, Rick enjoys long-distance marksmanship, motorcycles, fitness and coffee.
