Joanna joined BMSS in 2020 and currently serves as a Senior Tax Manager in our Huntsville office. For almost ten years, she specialized in the financial services industry at EY, working with banks, insurance companies and preparing large multi-state consolidated returns. Joanna later worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama in their tax department, helping with the preparation of their tax returns. Known for being technical and detail-oriented, Joanna uses her skills to prepare tax returns accurately and promptly for business clients.

Joanna was born in Illinois, but spent most of her life in Birmingham before moving to Huntsville in 2018.  She and her husband Kurtis have three sons, Zach, Alex, and Josh. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercising, and attending her boys sporting events.
