2009 Year-End Tax Planning Letter
Dear BMSS Clients and Friends,
2008 was followed by an equally eventful and economically challenging year. During 2009 we inaugurated our 44th President and waited for the deepest recession in over half a century to subside. We are still in the midst of difficult times. Our weakened economy is battling an unprecedented credit freeze and the jobless rates are not expected to peak until 2010.
It has been a whirl wind of a year and there are more Congressional changes to come as we await the latest health care legislation. BMSS understands the challenges of this new economy and how the Tax Code can actually work to your benefit and ease the impact of the recession (with some careful planning of course).
BMSS can help you navigate through the sea of changing legislation and plan a year-end tax strategy that incorporates many of the traditional strategies as well as some newer ones to help minimize your tax liability.
