We are always on the lookout for bright people to join our growing accounting firm.  But be warned: Barfield, Murphy, Shank & Smith is not like other accounting firms.   Here, you can have a growing, fulfilling career - plus a life outside of work. BMSS is headquartered in our own, two-story office building with our own private parking lot located in a quiet Riverchase setting that is convenient to everything. Our building sits near woodlands that border the Cahaba River. It is common to see deer and wild turkey walk through the parking lot. Inside, our employees dress casually throughout the work week. All staff accountants have their own private office and their own direct phone lines. 

At any time of the work day employees can drop in the kitchen and find a fully-stocked complementary supply of fruit, snacks, soft drinks, and even candy!

During summer months, all BMSS employees enjoy every other Friday of work.  An employee concierge is available to perform your personal errands.
