BMSS Named Best Accounting Firm to Work for in Alabama

BMSS is pleased to announce its recently released ranking in Accounting Today’s List of “Best Accounting Firms to Work for.” BMSS takes the 8th spot on the mid-size list, making it the highest ranking firm in Alabama across all size categories. Additionally, this is the seventh time the firm has been named to this prestigious list.

“This is an exciting time for our firm and we are proud to provide an exceptional experience for our employees,” said Keith Barfield, CPA, CITP and Founding Member of BMSS. “We consider ourselves unique, or “horses of a different color” and believe that our uncommon standards are exemplified by our colorful zebra mascot.”

Firms were required to meet the following criteria in order to be considered for this annual list:

• Be a for-profit or nonprofit business
• Be a publicly or privately-held business
• Have a facility in the United States
• Have a minimum of 15 employees in the United States
• Must be in business a minimum of one year
• Must be an accounting firm

Accounting Today invited firms from across the country to participate in this two-part survey. The first part consists of evaluating each nominated firm’s workplace policies, practices, systems, philosophy and demographics.
